Lazio are reportedly negotiating with Barcelona for the potential transfer of young Spanish midfielder, Pablo Torre.
The 22-year-old is a youth product of Racing Santander, whose exploits at the club earned him a transfer to Camp Nou in the summer of 2022. The youngster found playing time hard to come by, so the Blaugrana sent him on loan to Girona in the 2023/24 season, where he played an instrumental role in what was a successful campaign for the club.

Pablo Torre returned to Barcelona last summer, but found himself in a similar position under Hansi Flick. In a department that accommodates the likes of Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado, the Spain U21 international struggled to carve himself space, so he was only able to garner 14 appearances in all competitions, but still contributed with four goals and three assists.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the Italian capital side has opened talks with Barcelona, as they aim to sign Torre on a deal worth circa €6 million. While this might not be a substantial figure, it would still constitute a capital gain for the Catalan giants who bought the player for a similar price three years ago.
As the source explains, the Spaniard is originally an attacking midfielder, but can also play in a deeper role, or even as a left winger. In recent years, he has been mostly deployed as a box-to-box midfielder, thus making him the right profile to fit in Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system alongside Nicolo Rovella and Matteo Guendouzi in the middle of the park.
