Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal has on Monday taken to social media, to send a message of support to teammate Marc-André ter Stegen.
This, of course, comes amid what has proven an altogether challenging 24 hours for the German international.
Stretchered out of Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Villarreal on Sunday, Ter Stegen was subsequently diagnosed with a ‘complete rupture in the patella tendon in his right knee’.
The 32-year-old, in turn, was forced under the knife this afternoon, expected to spend the remainder of the season on the sidelines as a result.
Messages of support have since come flooding in for Ter Stegen, from across the football landscape.
Fans, players, and coaches alike have all been quick to send their best wishes to Barcelona’s no.1, amid one of the most trying moments of his career.
And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, such messages were added to by a fellow member of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Taking to his official Instagram account, youngster Lamine Yamal unveiled a photo of Ter Stegen, accompanied by the caption:
“Lots of strength, Marc. You are strong.”
