Real Madrid have been keeping themselves very busy in the summer so far, working on multiple new signings.
Two new additions – Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold – were presented officially this week while a deal for Franco Mastantuono has also been secured.
Alvaro Carreras remains next on the agenda, but his signing will have to wait until after the FIFA Club World Cup.
Another area that Real Madrid have been keen to strengthen is the midfield with Real Sociedad ace Martin Zubimendi being their main target for a while now.
However, according to journalist Joaquin Maroto of AS, Zubimendi will not be joining Real Madrid this summer.

The Spanish international has a €60 million release clause in his contract at Sociedad and for the longest time, Arsenal have been working on his signing.
While nothing has been signed yet, reports suggested that the midfielder had already committed to the Premier League giants.
Despite that, Real Madrid were said to be holding out hope of signing Zubimendi by convincing him to snub Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, that no longer appears possible, with the midfielder’s arrival to the Santiago Bernabeu being completely ruled out as per the update from Maroto.
With the possibility of Angelo Stiller’s signing also being dismissed, it remains to be seen who Real Madrid move for to strengthen their midfield roster or decide to count on their current options for next season.
