Kovacevic tells Vlahovic to leave Juventus: Milan and Man Utd ‘good options’ | OneFootball

Former Juventus striker Darko Kovacevic tells his compatriot Dusan Vlahovic to leave the Bianconeri and admits Milan and Manchester United would be ‘good options’ for the 25-year-old.

Juventus are ready to listen to offers for Vlahovic as the Serbia international is unwilling to extend his contract at the Allianz Stadium beyond 2026.

Kovacevic, a former Juventus striker and the current sporting director of Olympiakos, spoke to Gazzetta about the future of the ex-Fiorentina star.

Vlahovic told to leave Juventus for Man United or Milan

“I’d tell Dusan to move right away. It’s not easy to leave Juventus, and I say that from personal experience,” he said.

“However, sometimes you need to challenge yourself again to be happy and reach the top level. Someone like Vlahovic should always be a starter, whether at Juventus or elsewhere.”

What would be the best next destination for the Serbian striker?

“We can’t afford him at Olympiakos, but Milan or Manchester United could be good options for Dusan,” Kovacevic replied.

“Maybe even Nottingham Forest. Just joking, we share the same ownership, but I only work for Olympiakos.”

Kovacevic prefers Vlahovic over Haaland and Osimhen

Juventus have already signed Jonathan David on a free transfer from Lille and are in talks with PSG to retain Randal Kolo Muani.

“Competition is never a problem. On the contrary, when I was at Juventus, we had five great strikers,” Kovacevic concluded.

“Cabella, a former teammate of David at Lille, spoke very highly of the Canadian. David is a true centre-forward; he’s never scored fewer than 25 goals in recent seasons with Lille. But I’d always pick Vlahovic, I’d even prefer him to Haaland, and I’d say the same about Osimhen, even if I can see him doing well in black and white.”

Vlahovic joined Juventus in an €80m deal from Fiorentina in the 2022 January transfer window.

He has scored 58 goals in 145 appearances with the Old Lady.

The Serbian forward has snubbed a move to Fenerbahce and has held talks with Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, although the Rossoneri are not believed to have yet established contact with the Bianconeri.
