Teun Koopmeiners says Juventus players are ‘unhappy’ after another Serie A draw: ‘We must improve, no excuses.’
The Bianconeri were held to a 1-1 draw by city rivals Torino on Saturday.
It was their 12th stalemate in 19 league matches, which leaves them three points below the top four.
Kenan Yildiz broke the deadlock after just eight minutes, but Nikola Vlasic levelled the score seconds before the half-time break.
“We are unhappy; we controlled the game and scored a great goal. We pressed high, but it’s not possible to concede one minute before half-time,” Koopmeiners told DAZN via Ilbianconero.com.

“We must take responsibility and work more, including myself. We had a few chances in the second half, but it can’t be enough.”
Koopmeiners started in central midfield and was the Bianconeri’s captain, replacing the suspended Manuel Locatelli.
“We lack a bit of everything. We must feel urgency and responsibility in the games,” continued the Dutch midfielder.
“There are moments when we play well and have chances, but we don’t do it for 90 minutes. We must improve and score more goals. We concede too easily. We had a numerical advantage inside the box, and they still scored; it’s not possible. I must take responsibility, and there are no excuses.”
Juventus have a tough fixture list, as the Bianconeri will be facing Atalanta on Tuesday and Milan on Saturday.
They sit 5th in the Serie A table, but Fiorentina will overtake them on Monday if they beat Monza away.
“It’s not okay to be where we are now,” concluded Koop.
“We must learn and do more. I see quality in training, so we must do more. It’s not possible to draw so many games; we are not happy for the fans and the club. Everyone must know it. We must do more.”
Koopmeiners joined Juventus from Atalanta in a €60m deal last summer. He has three goals and two assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this term.
