Konate returns as Liverpool name team to face Man United | OneFootball

Arne Slot has named his Liverpool team to face Manchester United in the Premier League this afternoon.

Ibrahima Konate returns for the Reds for the first time since returning from a knee injury. The France international’s last appearance came in the Champions League win over Real Madrid in late November.

Konate replaces Joe Gomez at centre-back with the latter set for a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring issue.

There’s no place in the squad for Dominik Szoboszlai despite the Hungarian having served his one-match ban at West Ham. It is reported Szoboszlai has been ill this week.

The Premier League’s leading scorer, Mohamed Salah, is part of a three-man forward line alongside Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.

Liverpool can extend their lead in the Premier League title race to eight points with a win at Anfield.
