Kobamelo Kodisang's brief stint with Mamelodi Sundowns appears to be nearing its conclusion as the South African international eyes a European comeback.

However, despite his pedigree, Kodisang found regular starting opportunities hard to come by under the Brazilians' stacked attacking options.

His time in Portugal had highlighted his potential—particularly during the 2022/23 season, where his 11-goal contribution in 29 league outings turned heads. Even in his final season abroad, Kodisang remained influential, helping Moreirense secure a respectable sixth-place finish in the Primeira Liga with a goal and three assists across 31 matches.
