A new date and kick-off time has been confirmed for Manchester City’s Premier League home match with Bournemouth in what will now also serve as Kevin De Bruyne’s farewell to the Etihad.

The game with the Cherries, which had been slated for Sunday 18 May, will now take place on Tuesday 20 May, with kick-off at 20:00 (UK) due to City’s participation in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on Saturday 17 May.

It will not only be our last Premier League home match of the 2024/25 season but it also marks City legend Kevin De Bruyne’s final Etihad appearance for the Club.

After a decade’s incredible service, the gifted Belgian midfielder will be leaving the Club this summer.

It means the Bournemouth fixture will be an emotionally charged affair and provide the City fans – and players and staff - with the opportunity to not only say farewell but also express their gratitude for all that King Kev has done for the Club since joining us in the summer of 2015.

There will be a post-match presentation with Kevin and fans will have the chance to hear from him one final time as he addresses the crowd inside the Etihad.

All told to date, the Belgian, a global icon of the game, has played 417 matches for City.

During that period, he has scored 107 times, making him the first City midfielder since Colin Bell to reach a century of goals.

The 33-year-old has won a remarkable 19 major honours with City, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, one UEFA Champions League, one FIFA Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup and three Community Shields.

The Club will confirm precise details of the nature of our farewell to King Kev nearer to the fixture.
