Two leading members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid are expected to sit out the club’s next outing.
That’s according to Blancos insider Arancha Rodríguez of Cope, who points towards Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal as the pair in question.
Both Bellingham and Carvajal set alarm bells ringing across Spain’s capital late last night.
As much came after the pair departed Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Espanyol in possession of respective injury concerns.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at the Santiago Bernabéu, boss Carlo Ancelotti went on to explain that:
“Carvajal took a knock. Bellingham had a problem in his shoulder. We will see tomorrow but it doesn’t seem something serious.”
Ensuing medical tests, though, appear to have proven enough to see it concluded that neither defender Carvajal or midfielder Bellingham should be risked in Real’s next fixture.
The Spanish champions are set to return to action on Tuesday night, in a La Liga clash with Deportivo Alavés.
And, as per the aforementioned Arancha Rodríguez:
‘Bellingham and Carvajal are fine. They will be able to play in the derby, but they will still be rested against Alavés.’
