Kelly joins Arsenal permanently | OneFootball

Chloe Kelly has joined Arsenal permanently following the expiry of her Manchester City contract.

It brings an end to the forward's five-year association with the Club where she made 113 appearances and scored 34 goals.

The 27-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan with the Gunners following a switch to north London on deadline day in January 2025.

Before then, she featured 12 times in all competitions for the Blues in 2024/25, scoring two goals.

Kelly signed for City in the summer of 2020 from Everton and enjoyed a hugely successful debut season, scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances and helping City win the delayed 2019/20 Women’s FA Cup before an ACL injury brought an unfortunate and premature end to her maiden campaign.

City supporters voted her Player of the Season at the end of 2020/21, whilst she was also included in the PFA’s Team of the Year and also scooped the Women’s Player of the Year accolade at the North West Football Awards in November.

In the summer of 2022, Kelly scored the euphoric  winning goal as England beat Germany 2-1 in the 2022 UEFA Euros final, the nation's first major honour since 1966.

She has continued to be a pivotal figure in City's team with her speed and determination helping inspire the team during tough games.

In what proved to be her final full season at the Joie Stadium in 2023/24, she totalled 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists as we went on to match our best WSL points tally.
