Keith Jackson predicts scored of Rangers clash v Fenerbahce | OneFootball

Rangers will face Fenerbahce in the Europa League last 16 first-leg tie away from Ibrox on Thursday.

The Gers interim boss, Barry Ferguson, has said that Jose Mourinho’s side are levels above any side they have faced and that they are strong enough to go all the way to the finals.

At the same time, Rangers will hope that they can leave behind their domestic troubles and deliver something special at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

It has been a disappointing campaign for the Bears, and the performances have gone from bad to worse under Philippe Clement.

Keith Jackson of the Daily Record has suggested that Ferguson will be “shocked” by what he’s seen from the squad in the last week. He has predicted a 2-0 win for Fenerbahce.

He wrote: “Barry Ferguson didn’t go into this interim role blind. But even he may have been shocked by what he’s seen from the inside the last week or so. He’s been dealt a duff hand – and is coming up against one of the game’s greatest modern-day managers. He’ll need to come with something special and hope luck is also on his side.”

Rangers get key players back v Fenerbahce

The Bears will be boosted by the return of some key players, especially in defence. The likes of John Souttar, Dujon Sterling and Leon Balogun are all fit, and they have all travelled with the squad.

Rangers need to come up with strong plans to prevent Edin Dzeko and Dusan Tadic.

Dzeko is in the twilight of his career, and at 38, he is still one of the players to watch out for. He is a league winner in Germany and England, and both Souttar and Balogun will have to be at their best to prevent him from scoring.
