Just as reports emerge Juventus could offer Douglas Luiz as part of the deal for Morten Hjulmand, Portuguese media immediately assure Sporting CP would turn it down.
It is no secret that the midfielder is a primary transfer target for the Bianconeri, just as Sporting have been adamant they will not accept anything other than his €80m release clause.
La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Juve could try to resolve two problems in one fell swoop by offering outcast Douglas Luiz plus cash to lower the cost of the operation.

However, A Bola immediately responded by insisting Sporting would have no intention of accepting a player exchange as part of any transfer.
They are also well aware that Manchester United are ready to dive in with a much higher offer than the one Juventus could afford.
Hjulmand turned 26 last month and has history in Serie A, playing for Lecce from 2021 to 2023 until his €19.5m plus bonuses sale to Sporting CP.
The Denmark international quickly became their captain and a key figure in the squad.
