Italy’s terrible Euros display could end up having positive consequences for Roma’s transfer-market.

The Giallorossi are in fact eyeing Federico Chiesa as a top summer target.

With Italy out of the Euros and Chiesa being one of the lowest rated members of Luciano Spalletti’s squad during the tournament, conditions may become favorable for Roma to sign the 26-year-old winger.

The disappointment of the Italian national team now forces Juventus to make an important decision on Chiesa’s future.

According to the Corriere di Torino, the two options on the table for the Bicanconeri are the renewal of his contract or a transfer abroad.

At the moment, Juventus seem more keen on the second option.

Despite this, Roma’s interest in Chiesa remains strong, with Daniele De Rossi in particular very interested in the player.

It will therefore be the task of Florent Ghisolfi, Giallorossi sporting director, to establish relations with Juventus and attempt to bring Chiesa to the capital.
