Juventus’ transfer strategy is accelerating on several fronts as the club seeks to reshape its squad ahead of a pivotal new season. According to reports from Tutto Juve, Spazio J, Bianconera News, and Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are active on both the acquisition and departure sides of the market, with a clear focus on strengthening the defence and adding firepower up front.

In attack, the Bianconeri have moved closer to an agreement for Jonathan David. The Canadian international has already turned down approaches from Saudi Arabia and Fenerbahce and now awaits resolution of the final details with Juventus, particularly concerning signing bonuses and agent commissions. The proposed salary is understood to be around €7 million per season plus bonuses. Coach Igor Tudor and new director Damien Comolli have given their approval for the move, and expectations are that the deal could be finalized soon.

Outgoings are also imminent. Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula are closest to leaving, but negotiations remain complex. Weah, having been left out of the squad for the Manchester City match for transfer-related reasons, has made it clear—alongside his agent—that he prefers to remain in Turin, rejecting an offer from Nottingham Forest. Monaco have now emerged as a potential destination, indicating a possible resolution in the coming days. For Mbangula, Bournemouth are currently showing the most concrete interest, with Juventus open to completing a deal after the Belgian’s limited role under Tudor.

Defensively, Juventus’ priorities are sharpening following difficulties exposed on their US tour. Leonardo Balerdi of Marseille remains the prime target, with Tudor favoring a player he coached previously, but no offer has satisfied Marseille yet. The club is also considering other profiles: David Hancko (Feyenoord) has re-emerged as a strong candidate, with multiple outlets (Corriere dello Sport, Spazio J, JNetwork24) noting that he is waiting for Juventus to make formal contact. Aymeric Laporte is open to a return from Al Nassr, and Juventus could sign him for around €10 million if salary demands can be negotiated downward.

Other targets include Enrique Boyomo of Osasuna, for whom a €12–15 million offer may be submitted, and Wesley, Flamengo’s forward, who will be closely watched against Bayern Munich before any move. Promising young defenders like Giovanni Leoni (Parma), Cristhian Mosquera (Valencia), and Yarek Gasiorowski (Valencia) are also being tracked as possible investments for the future.

On the left, Juventus expressed interest in Inter’s Carlos Augusto, but Inter consider the player off-limits barring a bid of around €40 million, making the move unlikely.

With further departures expected from the back line—such as Rugani, Djalò, and even Lloyd Kelly, who has not convinced—the need for defensive reinforcements is urgent. Comolli and the club’s hierarchy have responded by stepping up their efforts on several targets at once, reflecting the scale of the rebuild required after defensive frailties became painfully evident in preseason.
