Juventus have been attached to a bombastic attempt to sign Victor Osimhen in January by activating his release clause, the same way they acquired Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli a few years ago. However, that can’t technically happen because the fixed sum is valid only for foreign sides, Rai’s Ciro Venerato stated (via Tuttomercatoweb).

The Nigerian star can be purchased for €75/80M without negotiating with the Partenopei. Though, that’s not the case for Italian sides. In this scenario, the Old Lady would need to sell Dusan Vlahovic to have the cash. It’s not an outlandish proposition since his contract expires in 2026 and there has been no traction in the extension talks.

If Juventus wanted Osimhen, they’d have to haggle with Napoli, which wouldn’t do them any favor and might outright refuse to sell him to them. The Bianconeri have better chances of landing Joshua Zirkzee, although he recently returned to form at Manchester United. In any case, their main priority for January is a defender. David Hancko and Antonio Silva are at the forefront of their search.

Director Giovanni Manna was quizzed again about the Galatasaray loanee by DAZN before the recent Lazio game (via Goal).

“We haven’t talked with anybody. We are discussing him even too much in my mind. There’s absolutely nothing going on at the moment. We’re focused on the pitch, and we have made many deals in the summer. As always, we’ll be ready if we need to do something more in January. However, we’re not reasoning on this kind of thing at the moment.”
