Real Madrid stormed past Juventus in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup last night in a game that they dominated but failed to capitalise on.
For the sheer number of attacking chances and goalscoring opportunities they created, the Merengues deserved to win by a few goals at least.
The 1-0 result, however, serves as a testament to the game the Juventus goalkeeper enjoyed.
Regardless of the scoreline, it is now Real Madrid in the quarterfinal of the competition where they will lock horns with Borussia Dortmund. They are now one step closer to their dream of becoming the first club to lift the title.
Speaking to the media after his team’s defeat last night, Juventus manager Igor Tudor commented on the result, and his team’s performance and also showered praise on Real Madrid for their quality.

He began by revealing an astonishing fact that as many as ten of his players asked to be substituted during the game for various reasons.
“It’s a little bit of everything. End of season, tension for the game, then this heat that is what completes these conditions.”
Speaking on Xabi Alonso’s side, their intent with the ball and ability to create danger and put pressure even when out of position, he said,
“Madrid has been more dangerous without the ball. With the ball we were united and it was not easy to find spaces. Madrid is a first-class team.”
Finally, Tudor praised Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe and claimed that Los Blancos were significantly better with him on the field.
“Madrid goes at 200 kilometres per hour. With Mbappe it goes to 250. Going at 200 kilometres per hour is a lot, with Mbappe, 250.”
