Juventus have made a firm step in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, tabling a €25 million offer for the 25-year-old winger, according to Tutto Juve. Sancho, whose future at Manchester United remains uncertain, is not part of the plans moving forward under Erik ten Hag, following a season spent away from the first team and on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Despite ongoing interest from several European clubs, Sancho’s high salary—reported at approximately €12 million net per year—has made negotiations difficult for suitors. Juventus, working to reinforce Igor Tudor's squad for the upcoming season, have nonetheless initiated official contacts with United, signalling concrete intent after weeks of exploratory talks.
A key complication remains the English international’s wage demands. Even as Juventus and Manchester United reportedly edge closer on the transfer fee, an agreement with the player on terms will be essential before any move can be finalised. Previous reports from Tuttomercatoweb suggested that while progress has been made between the clubs, bridging the salary gap with Sancho is now the primary obstacle.
Juventus’ interest in Sancho is founded on his technical ability, acceleration, and proficiency in one-v-one situations—qualities valued as the club seeks to add creative width. Club leadership believes Sancho is well-placed to rejuvenate their attack alongside recent signings. The player stands out as someone who can provide an extra option on the flanks, a profile not currently abundant in the current squad.
Discussions continue around potential swap arrangements as well, including rumoured scenarios involving Douglas Luiz, but as of now, Juventus appear to be prioritising a direct deal for Sancho. The club remains vigilant on its wage structure, mindful of existing financial constraints and the need to keep their budget in check following notable recent investments.
As Juventus move forward in their summer business after securing Jonathan David, all eyes remain on developments between Turin and Manchester concerning Sancho’s proposed switch. An agreement would underline the club’s willingness to back Tudor with new attacking resources for the season ahead.
