Juventus eager to sign Stuggart center-back Jeff Chabot | OneFootball

Juventus have set their sights on Stuggart central defender Jeff Chabot in order to enhance the quality of their back-line.

Fabiana Della Valle of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Bianconeri coach Igor Tudor is quite fond of the former Sampdoria defender and is keen on making a move to lure the 27-year-old German defender.

Juventus’ primary target was Marseille’s Leonardo Balerdi. However, the Ligue 1 giants had no intentions of selling the 26-year-old Argentine.

Hence, the Old Lady have turned towards Chabot, who has made 45 appearances last season for the Bundesliga outfits and snatched 3 goals.

Juventus have been monitoring Chabot for some time, particularly when Sttugart returned to the Champions League, and remained intrigued by his durability, his dominance in the area, and his determination.

Whilst Chabot has a contract with Stuggart until 2028 and is valued around the region of €20m, Juventus feel that an agreement could be reached towards the €15m threshold.
