According to the French media outlet Sports Zone, Juventus have lined up a replacement for Wojciech Szczęsny (34) with the club targeting a move for Monza’s goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio (26).

Di Gregorio has been on the Bianconeri’s for several months, and it is thought that the club are close to agreeing personal terms with the Monza goalkeeper. His move in the summer to Turin would place him in line as the natural successor to the Polish international.

One year left on Wojciech Szczęsny’s contract

Szczęsny has been at Juventus since 2019 when he left Arsenal, and during his time in Turin, he has won three league titles and two Coppa Italias. However, the goalkeeper only has a year left on his contract, and there is a recognition that while he has been an important figure since swapping North London for North Italy, there needs to be a plan in place for the future.

For now, it appears that Di Gregorio represents that plan. However, Juventus will still have to come to an agreement with Monza for a goalkeeper who is under contract until 2029.
