The curtain has now risen on what appears to be Jadon Sancho’s final act in a Manchester United shirt. As reported by TuttoSport, “the star player is still there, backstage, waiting for the director to give him the green light to finally break all hesitation.” It is a compelling image that captures the drama of his likely departure from Old Trafford and the fresh promise of a Serie A revival.
Manchester United have already moved on. “Manchester United’s staff has already removed his name from the tactics boards,” with Sancho left out of the friendly against Leeds in Sweden. He will also miss the US tour beginning July 23rd. Juventus, showing a revived interest after an initial £15 million offer, are ready to meet United’s requirements by adding “a series of (easily achievable) bonuses and taking on a portion of the severance pay.”

For the 24-year-old winger, this is a career junction. Once seen as a generational talent, Sancho is now reportedly “willing to halve his salary in exchange for a move to Turin.” The motivation is clear — game time, redemption and a change of scenery.
The paperwork appears nearly done. “The agreement with the Bianconeri has already been finalized; his agent stopped by Turin this week.” A four-year deal worth €6 million per season plus bonuses awaits, with only minor details left. Juventus’ director, “Comolli, in fact, expects to close the deal before next Thursday.”
Sancho could be training under Igor Tudor as early as next week at Continassa, ahead of a friendly on August 10th against Borussia Dortmund — the club where he came of age. “The same club where the Englishman…matured as a player… A sign of destiny…”
This is just one move in Juventus’ active window. From Timothy Weah to Douglas Luiz, the Turin giants are positioning themselves for a squad revamp. Yet Sancho’s name stands out — not only for what he was but for what he could still become.
If this is truly it for Sancho at United, then it is hard not to feel excited for what lies ahead. Watching him cut in from the left in black and white stripes just feels right. The whole thing reads like a screenplay: early promise, fall from grace, and now, redemption in Turin.
The fact that he is willing to slash his wages shows desire. “He’s willing to halve his salary in exchange for a move to Turin” — that says it all. It’s no longer about image or social media likes. It’s about reigniting a career that once dazzled Europe.
United fans may feel conflicted. A player of immense potential exits without truly delivering. But Juve fans, and indeed neutrals, will be hoping this fresh start is exactly what Sancho needs. And that friendly against Dortmund? Poetry.
Let’s just hope “only the final details remain to be ironed out” means we don’t see another twist in the tale. Because this feels like it’s meant to be.
