Juventus are interested in signing Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo and talks between the two clubs are expected to take place soon.

Juve want to sign a new centre-back this month after injuries to Bremer and Juan Cabal and the track for Araujo seems to have heated up very quickly.

Romeo Agresti has reported that a meeting between Juve and Barcelona has been scheduled and they will speak about the Old Lady’s move for the Uruguay international.

IlBianconero have reported that Araujo could be Juve’s first move of the January transfer window and the feeling is that the move is coming closer and is making progress. Both sides are working to define the move, with Juve said to be Araujo’s most probably destination for this month.

The centre-back’s candidature has risen up the club’s shortlist quickly after it was reported yesterday that Jorge Mendes was helping the Bianconeri find a suitable deal for Antonio Silva.
