In a huge development, Fabrizio Romano reports that Dani Olmo has agreed a six-year contract with FC Barcelona that will run until the summer of 2030.

Now the Catalans need to reach an agreement with the 26-year-old’s club, RB Leipzig, over a transfer fee, having seen both their initial bids get knocked back by the Bundesliga giants.

With their most recent offer rejected, Barcelona have now already made an improved bid for Olmo which is closer to what RB Leipzig are demanding.

As per the report, Barcelona are offering a total of €55 million in fixed fees and another €7 million in add-ons, of which €4 million will be easily achievable and the remaining €3 million will be a bit harder.

In the meantime, though, Olmo has agreed a six-year contract with Barcelona, which would run until the summer of 2030.

The Spanish international has always wanted to return to Barcelona after having left the club’s academy ten years ago.

With the move for Nico Williams stalling, Barça have made Olmo their absolute priority and are eager to close the deal at the earliest possible.

Now, the ball rests in RB Leipzig’s court and it remains to be seen if they are willing to accept Barcelona’s latest proposal that would amount to a total of €62 million, including add-ons.
