Chelsea are the latest club to join the race for Adana Demirspor goalkeeper Deniz Donmezer according to reports.

The Blues are set for another busy summer and it’s believed they will look to fund their moves by selling seven or eight players.

Chelsea face a critical summer window with a number of key areas in the squad needing to be filled, and the Blues are looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker.

Chelsea join race for Donmezer

One area the Blues have struggled with is goalkeeper, despite investing in a number of keepers over the past few windows.

Robert Sanchez is the current number one, although he’s not a popular figure with fans, whilst the Blues also signed Filip Jorgensen and highly rated teenager Mike Penders last summer.

Reports have suggested the Blues aren’t planning to sign another keeper, but that hasn’t stopped them being linked with Roma’s Mile Svilar.

However , Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has reported Chelsea are the latest club to join the race for Donmezer.

He took to X.com and said:

“EXCLUSIVE | Chelsea Goalkeeper Department Officials will come to the Eyüpspor match on April 13 to watch Adana Demirspor’s 16-year-old goalkeeper Deniz Dönmezer in person.

“Chelsea officials will be accompanied by the player’s official representative Murat Erdoğan.”

Despite being just 16-years-old the keeper has made 14 appearances already in the Turkish top flight this season, but has yet to register a clean sheet.

The teenager is currently out of contract with Adana Demirspor in June 2026, and there could be a cut price deal in the offing as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his deal.

Donmezer is yet to be capped by Turkey, but does have five caps for the under-16 side, and if the Blues were to sign the shot stopper he would be the second teenage keeper on their books alongside Penders.
