Fantasy football is a hugely popular game played all over the world. Taking the role of a manager, participants select their squad from a limited budget, choose their formation and team each week, and can make transfers throughout the season.

Selected players earn points for your team in line with the goals they score, assists they provide, clean sheets achieved in the case of defenders and goalkeepers, minutes played and a few other variables.

The original version created for the English Premier League has over ten million players.

The version for the Liga Portugal has been up and running since the start of the season, but is in a trial phase. Only on matchday four will the points start to count for real as the game officially begins.

In the second jornada Fakhry Arjakusumah from Indonesia (Top Dier) took the honours with a massive 84-point haul.

A word of advice. Remember not to miss the deadline to pick your team. The deadline is five minutes before the kick-off time in the first match of each matchday. Don’t be caught out by Friday evening games, like yours truly was last week and paid the price for this classic Fantasy Football clanger with 20 points left on the bench!
