Aston Villa's Jhon Durán has been fined after being sent off against Newcastle United.
Durán received a straight red card in the first half of his side's eventual 3-0 defeat at St James' Park at the end of last month for a stamp on Fabian Schär.
The Colombian forward had to be restrained by members of the Villans' coaching staff as he kicked over a water bottle in the immediate aftermath of his dismissal.
"Jhon Durán has been fined £15,000 following the Premier League fixture between Newcastle United and Aston Villa on Thursday 26 December 2024," confirmed an FA statement.
"The Aston Villa forward admitted that he acted in an improper manner in the 32nd minute of the fixture after being sent off, and the sanction was subsequently imposed by an independent Regulatory Commission."
Durán has already served his three-match ban for the initial offence and will be available for Saturday's Premier League encounter with Arsenal.
