The Los Angeles Galaxy have traded 2024 MLS Cup MVP Gaston Brugman to Nashville SC for MLS veteran midfielder Sean Davis. As part of the deal, Nashville could also receive $100,000 in GAM if certain incentives are hit.

Nashville SC continue to build out their midfield with the addition of the 32 year old Gaston Brugman. The 32 year old MLS Cup Champion is coming off an amazing game and performance that helped the Galaxy raise their 6th MLS Cup title. Brugman played roughly 1,600 minutes in 2024 recording 2 assists across all competitions. He has over 370 career games played, a majority of them within the Italian Serie A. Brugman looks to be the starting midfield partner to Patrick Yazbek under BJ Callaghan heading into 2025.

For the reigning MLS Cup champions, they now add a player in Sean Davis who we know well after a long MLS career. The 31 year old is a 2x Supporters’ Shield winner who has played a ton with both the New York Red Bulls and Nashville SC. Davis played roughly 1,600 minutes in 2024 with 1 assist in a struggling Nashville side. He was in need for a change, and heading to the club that won it all in 2024 is a pretty good shift! Davis has over 300 career games played between the Red Bulls and Nashville, and I think will be a key roster guy for the Galaxy looking to win more in 2025.
