Not many people in Tottenham Hotspur or world football were ready for this bromance but the relationship between James Maddison and Son Heung-min has been absolutely beautiful to witness both on and off the pitch.
The duo have been combing to help Tottenham score goals this season and it has been sensational to see their chemistry on the pitch. Off the pitch, they seem to admire each other a lot too.
The South Korean superstar and the English attacking midfielder have been the two main protagonists of this Ange Postecoglou-led Tottenham Hotspur team. That proved to be true even last night.

Tottenham beat Fulham 2-0 to keep their spot at the top of the Premier League intact and guess who scored the goals? That’s right – James Maddison and Son Heung-min. The latter also got the assist for the former’s goal.
Spurs played some brilliant football in the first half where they almost always looked too good for the Cottagers. The second half was a much more tepid affair though and one can imagine that Postecoglou would not have been pleased.
Speaking about his relationship with Son as quoted by the BBC, here is what Maddison had to say
“We have a brilliant relationship. Sonny was a player I loved for years and years watching and now it is an absolute pleasure to play with him. He is a world class player, I don’t throw that around a lot. We like to link up, we work a lot on training and we are starting to understand each other’s runs”

Can Maddison replicate his Leicester City form at a top club? Is Son already past his best? These were questions that were being circulated before the season started and they seem absolutely ridiculous now.
The Tottenham captain and vice-captain will be hoping that the relationship between them will remain the same both on and off the pitch. They have made all the right noises so far and they will want this to continue.
