Jamaica, Guatemala top their groups in League B

MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Boy’s Under-15 Championship continued Wednesday with eight League B matches in Aruba.

Groups C and D played their matches at Stadion CD Guillermo Trinidad in Oranjestad, Aruba. Groups E and F action took place at Stadion Centro Deportivo José Wever in Savaneta, Aruba.

Group C

Guayana 3-1 Cayman Islands

Guayana got a big result in Group C with a 3-1 win over the Cayman Islands.

Cayman Islands opened the scoring in the 9’ when Levi Jack received a ball over the top to beat the keeper.

Guayana found the equalizer in the 28’ as Mark Glasgow rushed into the box and slotted one near post.

After Cameron Murray and Stephen Mason Jr. were shown red cards, Guayana made use of the two-man advantage when Nyron Barrow smashed a sensational go-ahead free kick in the 49’ from just outside the box.

In the 70+3’ Guayana delivered the final blow off a Germine Garrett tap-in from close range.

Puerto Rico 4-1 Cuba

Puerto Rico locked up Group C with a convincing 4-1 win over Cuba.

Myles Johnson used great skill to get through a pair of defenders and smashed the opening goal for Puerto Rico in the 15’.

Cuba fought back and got its equalizer in the 23’ off a corner kick header from Osvany Martín.

Four minutes later, Los Boricuas jumped back ahead as captain Wilfredo Reyes cleaned up a rebound after Fabián Salls’ penalty kick was blocked.

Puerto Rico extended the lead in the 52’ as Salls pulled off a stunning bicycle kick. Reyes notched a brace with a penalty kick in the 70+2’, making it five goals for the captain so far this tournament.

Group D

Jamaica 1-0 Curaçao

The Reggae Boyz played a tight one but prevailed late in a 1-nil victory to win Group D.

It was back-and-forth for most of the match until Jamaica found the breakthrough with a vicious counterattack to stun Curaçao, as Kelvin D. Brown was there to put away a rebound off the post in the 70’+1’.

Aruba 1-0 Belize

Aruba got its first win of the tournament in the final Group D match with narrow 1-nil result over Belize.

The lone goal was scored in the 34’ as captain Born De Nobrega rocketed one into the top corner to score the host nation’s only goal of the tournament.

Group E

Barbados 0-3 Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda clinched a second-place spot in Group E with a 3-nil win over Barbados.

They got the opening goal in 23’ off a throw-in as Robert Jeffery knocked a bouncing ball past the keeper.

Antigua and Barbuda extended its lead in the 47’ when Jamil Thomas used some nifty footwork in the box to smash the second of the game.

The dagger came in the 67’ off a penalty kick strike from Kharique Joseph that was initially blocked, but he was able to put away the rebound.

Bermuda 0-2 Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago locked up the top spot in Group E with a 2-nil win over Bermuda.

The opening score came just seven minutes into the match as Adasa Richardson sent a header to the back of the net. The Soca Warriors got the second goal off a great set-piece header for Jeremai Nanton in the 51’ to finish off the job.

Group F

British Virgin Islands 0-6 Saint Kitts and Nevis

Saint Kitts and Nevis closed out Group F play with a 6-nil rout of the British Virgin Islands thanks to a hat trick from Adondre Eddy.

The scoring got started in the 11’ as Isaiah Bradshaw netted their first goal of the tournament. Eddy scored his first of three from the penalty spot in the 23’.

Saint Kitts and Nevis got another PK strike in the 49’ from Joshua Nias to extend the lead.

Eddy then proceeded to take over with a superb goal in the 53’, weaving his way around two defenders. He followed it up in the 67’ to record his third.

Ajnarel Wilkinson closed it out the offensive fireworks in the 70’ as he smashed one off the post.

Dominican Republic 0-0 Guatemala

With Group F up for grabs between two of the highest-scoring teams, Dominican Republic and Guatemala played to a scoreless draw. The result clinches the group for Los Chapines due to goal differential as the Dominican Republic finished in second place.
