Jack Grealish stars in England’s 3-1 win over Finland | OneFootball

Jack Grealish has played a starring role for England in their 3-1 UEFA Nations League win over Finland. Phil Foden, Rico Lewis, John Stones, and Kyle Walker all featured for Lee Carley’s side in England’s much-needed win. Following their 2-1 loss to Greece, the win was a much-needed result for England.

For Jack Grealish, he got England off to the perfect start when he opened the scoring in the 18th minute. His goal was a fine reward for his bright start to the game. Grealish was a constant threat to Finland’s defence throughout the game. He was calm in possession and showed the strong form that he had started the 24/25 season with for Manchester City.

John Stones and Kyle Walker also all started for Lee Carley’s side. Kyle Walker wasn’t at his best on the night. There continues to be small signs that City’s captain may be on the decline as a player. His pace doesn’t appear to be what it was and he wasn’t at his best for England. Stones did what he had to do at the back. Although England would be relieved that Finland couldn’t finish a host of chances that they created.

Phil Foden and Rico Lewis both came off the bench in the 80th minute. Neither player made a significant impact on the match when they came on.

Manchester City’s English contingent will now all return to the club to begin preparations for next weekend’s Premier League clash with Wolves at Molineux. The major positive for City is that all of City’s English contingent got through the international break injury free.
