Jess Naz has turned a dream into a reality ahead of our return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend for the Barclays Women’s Super League north London derby.

Our Stadium in N17 has always been a special place for our number seven, who had been at the Club between the ages of 12 and 15 before rejoining for a second spell in 2018, as she grew up playing football outside the old White Hart Lane as a youngster.

Now Jess is a full-time professional footballer walking out on to the pitch at the world-class arena and has been part of some memorable moments in recent years, most notably, last season’s historic win over the Gunners – our first WSL win against the Gunners – and also creating history in our Women’s FA Cup run in the last campaign.

With our city rivals returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for their fourth visit, the 24-year-old is hungry to create even more special moments in front of our supporters.

Speaking in an exclusive interview in the matchday programme for the visit of Arsenal to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Jess said: “I couldn’t even imagine playing for a girls’ team at the time as I was training with boys so I never thought that I would be in a position to then be playing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the future,” she said.

“It’s always an honour to put on the Lilywhite shirt and represent the Club in front of our supporters. When you walk out from the tunnel and on to such a great pitch, we want to give our absolute best for the fans.

“We, as players, are always excited when we get the opportunity to play at the Stadium and, obviously, to be playing the north London derby here is a great occasion for us and to have a lot of our supporters around in the stands.”
