‘It’s a fact’ – Former Real Madrid star hails Hansi Flick’s Barcelona | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid standout Toni Kroos has this weekend moved to reveal his appreciation for fellow countryman Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.

This comes, of course, after the Blaugrana played their part in a historic continental tie over the course of the last two weeks.

Amid an ongoing pursuit of a treble for the season, Barca made the trip to San Siro this past Tuesday, for the 2nd leg of a Champions League semi-final tie.

The two sides headed into the matchup locked at three goals apiece following a pulsating opener in Catalunya.

When all was said and done, it was hosts Inter who emerged on the right side of the result, booking their spot in the finale of the Champions League courtesy of a 7-6 aggregate victory.

One individual, though, of the opinion that Barcelona are nevertheless deserving of well-earned credit, comes in the form of Toni Kroos.

Speaking on his personal podcast, ‘Einfach mal Luppen’ (as cited by Mundo Deportivo) this weekend, Real Madrid icon Kroos revealed his take that:

“We can simply enjoy the way Barcelona plays, that’s a fact.

“In the first leg, they were losing 2-0, and in the second leg, they were also 2-0 down. And normally against Inter, you can’t come back because they have such a solid defense, but when you see the way Barcelona plays football, you have to give Hansi Flick and Barça a huge shout for this performance.”
