Next season, Inter will be playing in the Club World Cup.

This will be a part of an expansion of the competition.

In the past, the Club World Cup has been played in December, midway through the normal European club season.

This time around, it will be different. The FIFA competition will take place at the end of the European club season.

And even more significantly, more teams will be taking part in the Club World Cup.

In previous seasons, the competition has featured just one team from each confederation. In the case of UEFA, it has been the winner of the Champions League who has participated.

The Champions League winners will still be participating under the new format.

But a number of new teams will join them. This is based on where teams stand in the FIFA rankings of club performances.

Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti: “Club World Cup An Opportunity To Show Ambition”

There will be two teams representing Serie A in the Club World Cup at the end of next season.

One is Inter. The Nerazzurri won last season’s Serie A title, having finished the prior four seasons second, first, second, and third in the league table.

Inter also reached the Champions League final in the 2022-23 season. And in the 2019-20 campaign they also appeared in the Europa League final.

Meanwhile, the other team from the Italian top flight who will be participating in the Club World Cup next season will be Juventus.

Inter Vice-President Zanetti gave his thoughts on the competition. “I think it gives us an opportunity to understand what level a team is at.”

“And to show ambitious we are.”

“It’s a competition that lets us come up against the best teams,” said Zanetti.

“And that will help us improve.”
