Henrikh Mkhitaryan offered an update on his future at Inter Milan ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Amazon Prime Video via FCInterNews, the 36-year-old admitted he is keen to stay at the San Siro.
Despite his age, Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains a focal point of Simone Inzaghi’s midfield.
Indeed, he has been omnipresent in the engine room since joining the club from Roma in 2022.
The Nerazzurri would use the Armenian’s experience later this evening, with revenge-poised Bayern Munich rolling into town.
Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi fired Inter to a vital 2-1 first-leg win in Germany.
However, Mkhitaryan knows better than to let a slender lead tuck him into a false sense of security.
“We have to do our best and prepare in the best possible way because sometimes even 100% might not be enough,” he said.
“We have to give everything.”
Tonight will be an opportunity for Inter to rewrite the club’s history books.
Indeed, they could post their first-ever home win against the Bavarians after four consecutive defeats at the San Siro.

Inter players came under fire for ‘over-celebrating’ last week’s triumph at the Allianz Arena.
However, Mkhitaryan believes the criticism was unfounded.
“It wasn’t a celebration, we were just happy,” he claimed. “We’re mature, we have experience, and we know that these games are played over two legs, home and away.
“Maybe they saw something else, but we were simply happy with the result, knowing that there’s still another game to play.
“Winning the Champions League? Right now, the goal is to move forward.
“Then we’ll see whether we make it to the final or not.”
Finally, he revealed his ambition to stay at the San Siro for at least one more year.
“I’ve already said I’d like to stay here for another year, but we’ll see,” he stated.
“We have so many matches right now that there’s no time to think about contracts.
“We’ll finish the season and then talk with the club. If they want me to stay, I’ll be happy to.
“Otherwise, I’ll look for happiness elsewhere.”
