Inter Milan wingback Nicola Zalewski has received a call-up for Poland despite the fact that he’s currently dealing with an injury.

The 23-year-old is in the squad named by Poland coach Michal Proberz for the international break.

The international break is now just a couple days away.

Inter Milan have a huge match this weekend. They face Atalanta in a match that could have major ramifications for the Serie A title.

But then the Nerazzurri’s squad will disperse. Those players who have received national team call-ups will be away for a couple weeks.

Inter Wingback Nicola Zalewski In Poland Squad Despite Injury

One Inter Milan player who’s received a national team call-up is wingback Nicola Zalewski.

Zalewski joined Inter on loan from Roma in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been out with a calf injury since the end of February. He has missed a few matches and will also be out for one more in the form of Sunday’s clash with Atalanta.

However, Zalewski is not far from returning to fitness.

Therefore, Poland coach Michal Proberz has decided to call up the Inter wingback.
