Inter Milan have reportedly reignited their interest in Sevilla attacker Dodi Lukebakio. The club believes they can sign him on a low-cost operation.

The 26-year-old is a youth product of Anderlecht who had spells at Watford and Hertha Berlin among others.

The Nerazzurri were already monitoring him last year. However, he ended up signing for Sevilla in the summer.

Nevertheless, the Andalusians endured a torrid campaign, which could prompt a revolution at the club during the upcoming transfer market.

So according to La Gazzetta dello Spor via FcInterNews, the Serie A champions have now rekindled the interest in the Belgian.

Inter reportedly consider Lukebakio as a cheaper alternative for Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson.

While the Grifone are reportedly asking for at least 30 million euros to part ways with the Iceland international, the Nerazzurri believe they can poach the Sevilla man for just 12 million.

Moreover, Inter can further lower the costs by introducing Lucien Agoume as a makeweight in a swap deal.

The Frenchman joined Sevilla on loan in January, and the club can keep him permanently for 8 million euros.

Therefore, the Italian giants can simply offer the midfielder’s card to the Spanish club to get a significant discount on the Belgium international.

Lukebakio mostly features on the right wing in an attacking trident. However, he is versatile enough to play on the opposite flank or even lead the attack as a centre-forward.

This season, the 26-year-old has made 23 appearances across all competitions. He contributed with five goals and one assist.

The attacker has a contract with Sevilla valid until 2028 and reportedly earns 1.5 million euros per year as net wages.
