Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni says he’d prefer to reach another Champions League final than to win another Serie A title.

Bastoni told Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin that he has “no doubts” as to which would mean more to him.

In the last couple of seasons, Inter have enjoyed success both domestically and in Europe.

Last campaign was the Nerazzurri’s most impressive in Serie A under Simone Inzaghi. And they got one of the highest points totals in their history to win the title.

The previous season, on the other hand, Inter reached the Champions League final.

The run to that final was a thrilling one. Inter saw off the likes of Barcelona, Porto, Benfica, and city rivals AC Milan.

And then in the final itself, Inter impressed against Manchester City. Going into the final, the Nerazzurri were certainly the underdogs. But the pitch told a different story.

Inter were able to go toe-to-toe with Premier League juggernauts City.

But the final ended in heartbreak for Inter. They lost 0-1 in the end, while also missing some glorious chances to equalize during the closing stages of the match.

Alessandro Bastoni Reveals Preference: Another Champions League Final

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni started in the 2023 Champions League final.

That was actually the second European final that he has started for Inter. He also started in the 2019 Europa League final, which the Nerazzurri lost 3-2 against Sevilla.

And the Italian international was also a key part of the team that won the Serie A title last time out.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin tweeted, “Had a great chat with Alessandro Bastoni, tomorrow in Libero.”

He asked Bastoni: “You can only choose one of the following: Scudetto number 21, or another Champions League final?”

And Bastoni replied, “I have no doubt: Another Champions League final.”
