Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi admits that it’s been a “tricky” month for him, but not due to transfer rumours.
The Italian international spoke to InterTV after yesteday’s Serie A win over Lecce, via FCInterNews. He explained that he has been dealing with a family problem that has been a distraction.
Midfielder Frattesi started for Inter against Lecce yesterday.
The 25-year-old hadn’t started a Serie A match in three months. However, he got his chance at the Stadio Via del Mare.
And it would be fair to say that Frattesi grabbed that opportunity with both hands.
Frattesi scored the opening goal for Inter. he nearly bagged a second, but was narrowly offside.
Then, it was Davide Frattesi who won the penalty from which Mehdi Taremi scored Inter’s fourth goal.
That starring performance came on the heels of a month that has been full of transfer rumours.
With the January window open, the last few weeks have seen a slew of reports that Davide Frattesi is pushing for a move away from Inter.

Rumours suggest that the 25-year-old is not happy with the playing time that he’s had at the Nerazzurri.
However, Frattesi himself doesn’t feel that this has been something that has really weighed on him.
“It’s been a bit of a tricky month,” he admitted. “But not because of the rumours that you all know about [referring to the transfer rumours].”
Instead, the difficulties that Frattesi has had this month have been “because my grandmother has been ill.”
“My mind has been, let’s say, a but elsewhere at times,” Frattesi admitted.
“But I’m happy to be back to scoring goals and playing well. I dedicate it to her.”
Of having extra matches in the Champions League while title rivals Napoli only have Serie A to think about, Frattesi insisted that “it’s great for us.”
“It’s true that we’re in a period where there a lot of tough matches close together,” he noted.
“But we’ve kept our enthusiasm. That’s always distinguished us.”
