Inter Milan have reportedly told Marko Arnautovic to find himself a new club since he’s no longer part of the technical project.

The Nerazzurri signed the Austrian last summer on an initial loan move from Bologna. The player later triggered the obligation-to-buy clause, making his stay at Appiano Gentile permanent.

However, the 35-year-old didn’t wholly convince the club last term, with injuries taking its toll on his physical condition.

And while the striker is eager to turn the page this season, he has already sustained his first knock of the new campaign.

Arnautovic missed last night’s friendly against Al-Ittihad at the U-Power Stadium in Monza. The encounter ended in a 2-0 win in favor of the Saudi Pro League side.

Moreover, the former West Ham star has further dropped down in Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order following the arrival of Mehdi Taremi.

In addition to the Iranian, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram are also ahead of Arnautovic in the attacking hierarchy.

So according to La Stampa via FcInterNews, the club has informed the veteran forward of their desire to part ways this summer.

Arnautovic’s contract is valid for another season. However, he risks spending his campaign on the sidelines since he’s reportedly no longer part of Inzaghi’s plans.

The management would like to offload the veteran to make room for a new arrival.

As reported earlier today, the Italian champions are searching the market for a young striker who fits Oaktree’s requirements.

The two main candidates are RB Salzburg’s Karim Konate and Dynamo Kyiv’s Vladyslav Vanat.

As for Arnautovic, his future could lie in Turkiye, as Trabzonspor have inquired about his availability.

The Turkish side is reportedly on the striker’s trail, but it remains to be seen if he’ll fancy this destination.
