Inter Milan star Federico Dimarco is seemingly edging towards a timely recovery as the team prepares to lock horns with crosstown rivals AC Milan.

Therefore, Dimarco had to skip the midweek trip to England.

He remained at home while Simone Inzaghi’s main host traveled to Manchester for a top Champions League showdown against Man City.

The Italian champions earned a valuable draw on the back of a gusty performance. Inzaghi had no other choice but to rely on Carlos Augusto on the left flank.

However, this could change ahead of Sunday’s big Derby della Madonnina clash.
