Inter Milan have lined up young Real Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Guler as a backup target to Nico Paz.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan will certainly look to refresh their squad this summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri’s priority is to bring down the average age of the squad with younger new arrivals.

And by all accounts, Inter are extremely keen on Nico Paz.

However, Paz’s ownership situation makes things a bit tricky. At the moment, the Argentine is a Como player. But Real Madrid have a buyback option that becomes active this summer.

Inter Line Up Real Madrid’s Guler As Nico Paz Alternative

Inter will likely hope that Real Madrid do indeed sign Paz back.

If Como can convince Real to scrap the buyback option by paying a larger fee, that would mean that they will hardly want to sell the 20-year-old to Inter next summer.

On the other hand, if Real are to sign Paz back, they will likely be listening to offers.

But it could also be the case that Paz’s form for Como this season convinces Real to keep the Argentine in their own squad for next season.

In that case, Inter would have to look elsewhere for an attacking midfield target.

But the Nerazzurri wouldn’t necessarily have to look far.

Therefore, the Turk would be in search of a new club. And in that case, Inter would be ready to target him.
