Inter Milan still “haven’t given up” on appointing Cesc Fabregas as coach despite the apparently firm rebuff of Como President Mirwan Suwarso.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.

Como number one Mirwan Suwarso directly stated that his club have “directly communicated” their refusal to Inter.

Naturally, that seems like a hammer blow for the Nerazzurri’s attempts to snap up the former Arsenal midfielder.

However, reports Sky, that does not mean that Inter’s interest in Cesc Fabregas has died.

Naturally, the comments by Suwarso certainly constitute a setback. And if the Lariani simply dig in their heels, then the Nerazzurri will hardly be able to get Fabregas.

However, reports Sky Sport Italia, behind the scenes Inter haven’t quite given up.

The Nerazzurri still consider Fabregas to be their top target to replace Simone Inzaghi as coach.

Therefore, Inter’s plan is to spend the coming hours sounding out whether there is any chance of Como wavering despite their President’s seemingly unequivocal comments.
