Inter Milan are looking at Boca Juniors wingback Kevin Zenon as a potential option for the left flank for next summer.
This according to Italian transfer journalist Niccolo Ceccarini. He reports on TuttoMercatoWeb that the 22-year-old has emerged as a major name on the Nerazzurri’s radar.
Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin has been in South America.
The Nerazzurri executive is on one of his scouting missions in Argentina.
And Baccin has reportedly turned up a few names as prospective signings for Inter.
One, according to transfer journalist Ceccarini, comes in a position where the Nerazzurri are always looking for new signings.
The two wingback roles are positions in which Inter aim to have a lot of squad depth.
The fact that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi likes to regularly switch out players in the very physically demanding position mid-match is a big part of this.
Moreover, Inter are always in search of versatile wingback options.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri are already thinking about how they’ll approach the flanks next summer transfer window.
Subsequently, Italian transfer journalist Ceccarini reports that Boca Juniors wingback Zenon has impressed Inter a lot.
The Nerazzurri see Zenon as having exactly the qualities they need in a wingback. The 22-year-old has a high-energy style which has allowed him to cover the entire left flank.
Therefore, Ceccarini reports, Zenon has become one of the main names that Inter are tracking as a target for next summer.
Meanwhile, he adds, there are two other names that Inter are very keen on from Argentina.
One is that of River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono.
Meanwhile, Velez Sarsfield central defender Valentin Gomez has also emerged on the Nerazzurri’s radar as a possible target to bolster their squad at the back.
