Inter Milan would expect different fees to sell midfielder Davide Frattesi to Roma, Napoli, or Juventus in January.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri have become annoyed with Frattesi pushing for a transfer.
Inter have found themselves with a real headache this month in the form of Frattesi’s situation.
The Nerazzurri had expected to have a very quiet January transfer window. Certainly, they were not planning to make any major sales.
But Frattesi evidently wants out. The 25-year-old has not directly expressed the desire to leave to his coach, but his agent has been working behind the scenes to stir things up.
Inter are not keen to sell Frattesi this month despite the player’s apparent desire for an exit. They would rather wait until the summer.
However, if offers do arrive for Frattesi, the Nerazzurri will inevitably have to consider them.
The team most strongly linked with Frattesi are Roma.
And Inter would be willing to sit at the table if the Giallorossi make a serious bid.
The Gazzetta report that Inter want €45 million from Roma. If such an offer arrives, then a transfer really could happen in January.
On the other hand, the newspaper anticipate, it’s a different story for Napoli and Juventus.
The Partenopei are seriously interested in Frattesi as well – particularly if Khvicha Kvaratskhelia leaves.
And even the Bianconeri could look to swoop in considering Frattesi’s situation.
But Napoli are undeniably among Inter’s main Serie A title rivals this season. And even Juventus are not entirely out of the hunt.
Therefore, Inter would be very reluctant to potentially strengthen direct rivals.
As such, reports the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have slapped a price tag of €70 million on Frattesi if either Napoli or Juventus come calling.
