Inter and AC Milan are speeding up their “Plan A” plans to build a new San Siro.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They note that the end of this month will see an end of Inter’s exclusive right in Rozzano.

Inter and Milan now look to have decisively moved in the direction of building a new stadium in the San Siro.

For the past couple of years, the clubs have looked elsewhere. Inter in the commune of Rozzano, and Milan in San Donato.

However, the clubs have now set their sights on the idea of building a new stadium adjacent to the existing San Siro.

Inter & AC Milan Speed Up “Plan A” Plans For New San Siro

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have yet to formally commit to plans to build in the San Siro area.

But the clubs will look to take a decisive step in the coming weeks.

By the end of next month, the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri intend to present their plans to buy the land for the San Siro from the city of Milan.

This will be necessary for the clubs to actually build a stadium. And if and when they do so, there is essentially no going back.

And in the meantime, Inter do still technically have the exclusive right to conduct a feasibility study in the commune of Rozzano.

However, that expires at the end of January. Therefore, if Inter are going all-in on San Siro plans, the expiry of that right would certainly be a big signal that they’ve abandoned Rozzano plans.
