Iñaki Peña could be set to join Elche CF in the coming days. The Spanish goalkeeper, a product of Barcelona's academy, is not part of Hansi Flick's plans for this season.

Before departing on loan, Peña will renew his contract with FC Barcelona, thereby securing his long-term future at Camp Nou. This move fits perfectly into Elche's strategy, with coach Eder Sarabia keen to have three goalkeepers to ramp up competition for the starting spot. Peña would complete a trio alongside Matías Dituro, the current starter, and Alejandro Iturbe, the backup.
