Harvey Barnes is a goals and assists machine.
His stats are crazy down the years in the Premier League.
Harvey Barnes has only started 11 Premier League games this season, plus appearances from the bench, yet has 12 direct goal involvements, scoring nine and getting three assists.
His form has been spectacular in Gordon’s absence and includes scoring four goals in the last three PL games, this past week and a half.
However, he has paid tribute to another Newcastle United winger, Jacob Murphy with a wonderstrike and assist last night, taking him to 22 direct goal involvements this season in all competitions, nine goals and thirteen assists.
Harvey Barnes speaking to Premier League Productions after Newcastle 5 Crystal Palace 0:
“We spoke the other day about building on results, today was a perfect example.
“We knew it was going to be a test [against Palace].
“We started the game so well and got a comfortable lead.
“I’m really happy.
“When I’m out on the pitch I just want to help the team.
“I’m doing that at the minute.”
Harvey Barnes asked about Jacob Murphy’s form and fans demanding an England call up:
“He’s playing unbelievable.
“He is such a character in the changing room.
“He deserves everything he is getting.
“I’m joining the petition.”
Harvey Barnes on Eddie Howe:
“I know he’s recovering and heading the right way which is great news.
“A few of the lads have sent him some messages.
“But we’re just focusing on our job.”
Harvey Barnes on Jason Tindall:
“A 100% record at the minute, so he’ll be happy.
“We’re so well-drilled throughout the year.
“Of course the gaffer not being here is a miss, but we know our roles so well.
“This is where we want to be.
“We’ve got ourselves in a really good position.”
