‘I don’t know what’s happening outside of France’ – Luis Enrique remains coy on Barcelona links | OneFootball

In his pre-match press conference, PSG manager Luis Enrique was quizzed by the media about reports linking him with the Barcelona job.

Xavi’s future at the Camp Nou remains uncertain after he announced he would go back on his decision to leave the La Liga club at the end of the season and stay put in the Catalan region. This uncertainty has led to rumours of the former Barcelona manager returning to the club. Luis Enrique enjoyed a wonderful spell in charge of the Blaugrana winning a treble in his first season in 2015.

Despite the links with a return to his homeland, PSG want Luis Enrique to remain in the French capital. In addition, the former Spanish national team coach intends to remain loyal to Les Parisiens and honour his contract with the Ligue 1 champions. Although, Paris Saint-Germain failed to win the Champions League, Luis Enrique has managed to win Ligue 1 and could still win the Coupe de France.

Responding to links with the Barcelona job, Luis Enrique said, “I don’t know, I can’t answer. I’m obsessed with French TV, I watch everything in French, I don’t know what’s happening outside of France.”
