Ruben Amorim admits he should have been more calm and collected when talking to the press after last Sunday’s defeat to Brighton.
The Manchester United boss has already lost his temper after suffering another defeat at Old Trafford, with the team showing little fight and no organisation on the pitch. The Portuguese had a major outburst in the locker room, reportedly smashing a TV screen.
Moreover, the former Sporting CP manager, who looked agitated while talking to the press after the Premier League fixture, admitted that his team could well be the worst-ever edition in the history of Man Utd, sparking a major debate among fans and observers alike.
A few days removed from the defeat to the Seagulls, Amorim has regained his composure while previewing the club’s upcoming Europa League fixture against Rangers.

The 39-year-old has seemingly backtracked on his previous comments, suggesting he made these statements almost absentmindedly after losing his temper.
“I didn’t think, that’s why. I am a young guy and sometimes I can make mistakes,” said Amorim in his pre-match press conference via Sky Sports.
The Man Utd manager feels that chatting with the media after the matches can be a challenging task, especially after suffering a defeat.
“That’s why I don’t like to talk after the game. I had to talk and maybe it was a mistake. And then I get more nervous and go to the conference really nervous. And then you said things that you shouldn’t say.
“And that’s it. Sometimes you are a young guy and make mistakes. And you improve. I don’t promise you that I will not do it again. I don’t know. So I will try to improve,” concluded the head coach.
