How Roma could hand Barcelona a surprise financial boost | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona could be afforded a helping hand on the financial front by way of an altogether unexpected source over the coming weeks.

That’s according to Diario Sport, citing transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who points towards AS Roma as the potential source of these funds.

Roma, it is understood, have set their sights on the signature of Real Betis attacker Ez Abde.

On the lookout for reinforcements out wide for the new campaign, the Giallorossi could in turn be willing to offer up to €20 million for the Moroccan’s signature.

And in the case of such a proposal being accepted by Betis, Barcelona would also be in line to benefit.

The Blaugrana maintain a 20% sell-on clause on Abde, courtesy of the deal which sent the 23-year-old to Seville back in the summer of 2023.

A €20 million transfer for Ez, in turn, would see the Camp Nou brass entitled to a €4 million cut.
