It has been a difficult couple of seasons to endure for Queens Park Rangers, but fans still flock to Loftus Road in their thousands to see their team turnout.

Over 5,000 supporters committed to another season following the west London club in the opening week of QPR's season tickets going on sale, regardless of the current forecast for the club.

As the Hoops' fans weigh up their purchases, attention no doubt turns to what their fellow Championship fans are paying at other clubs.

Here, FLW take a look at how QPR's cheapest season ticket stacks up with the rest of the division...

QPR's season ticket price

The cheapest adult season ticket at Loftus Road next season will see supporters part with £252, which the club confirms works out at £10.96 per game.

Based on last season's prices, that works out to a price increase that begins at 43p per game, rising to £1 per game depending on the category of ticket.

The club went on to claim that they have kept prices as low as they can, making note of the cost-of-living crisis.

How QPR's season ticket price compares to the rest of the Championship

The Hoops' claim that they have kept season ticket prices as low as possible for their committed supporters is difficult to argue with when assessing the prices next to the rest of the league.

QPR have the second-cheapest offering in the league, with Coventry City's ticket the cheapest at just £2 less.

Their prices are in stark contrast to a team like Sheffield Wednesday, who had a similarly tough season but are charging a minimum of £560 for a season ticket next term, over double QPR's price.

Middlesbrough fans also have a case for feeling hard done by, with the most expensive starting price for a season ticket in the Championship, standing at an eye-watering £574.

Season ticket prices is smart business from QPR's decision-makers

Whilst Hoops fans will unquestionably be seeking improvements on the last two seasons of flirting with relegation battles, the pricing of their season tickets is likely to do them a favour.

It shows that the club take into consideration how much of a financial commitment getting a season ticket is, but it will also take the edge off some of the pressure if they face another difficult season.

That is in stark contrast to Wednesday and Boro. You can be sure you'll find each fanbase quoting their season ticket prices and comparing them to the rest of the league if what they see on the pitch is not of an acceptable standard.

QPR fans will be happy to see how their season ticket prices stack up compared with the rest of the Championship, but that won't stop them expecting progress next term.
